A MOODY WINTER WEDDING IN THE MACEDON RANGES
Set against the dramatic beauty of Cygnet, a private Macedon Ranges property, this winter wedding brought together loved ones from across the globe for an intimate and unforgettable celebration. The season's bare trees, cool air and gentle rainfall created a naturally romantic backdrop, enhancing the atmosphere rather than detracting from it.
The ceremony unfolded amongst the winter-worn gardens, where abundant sculptural florals created a striking focal point against the muted landscape. Designed in rich shades of earthy brown, deep green and soft white, the floral palette embraced the mood of the season while maintaining a refined and contemporary aesthetic. Layered arrangements added depth and movement, creating impact without overwhelming the natural surroundings.
As guests moved into the reception, the mood shifted to one of warmth and understated luxury. Masses of candlelight illuminated the space, casting a soft glow across elegantly styled tables. Delicate grasses adorned with orchids created an effortless sense of refinement, complementing the intimate atmosphere and allowing the beauty of each element to shine. The result was a celebration that felt deeply personal, sophisticated and perfectly connected to its Macedon Ranges setting.
